Here’s what you need to know if you’ve received the coronavirus vaccine.

Millions of people worldwide have received mass vaccinations against the COVID-19 virus, which has helped to curb infections and reduce the number of severe cases and deaths.

However, as is often the case over time, reports of rare side effects began to appear, including one that attracted the attention of the medical community: myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle.

Myocarditis is a condition in which the heart tissue becomes inflamed, which can affect its ability to pump blood effectively. In most cases, it is usually mild and resolves with medical treatment, although in some patients it may require hospital observation.

According to scientific studies that have been carried out on this subject, this adverse effect appears more frequently in young men, particularly those under 30, and generally manifests itself a few days after receiving the second dose of a messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine, such as those from Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna.

It is of utmost importance to be aware of the most common symptoms associated with this reaction, including chest pain, difficulty breathing, palpitations, or unusual fatigue. Specialists emphasize that if any of these signs occur, it is essential to consult a doctor or go to a health center immediately, as early diagnosis allows for a faster and safer recovery.
